His nods include recognition for his exceptional work as a songwriter and producer, appearing in key categories such as album of the year, record of the year, and song of the year. 

Barrera has been acknowledged for his contributions to notable hits, including "Mi Ex Tenía Razón" by Karol G and "Según Quién" by Maluma and Carín León. Furthermore, he has received two nominations for Best Regional Song as a songwriter.

Barrera surpassed superstars Karol G and Bad Bunny, who each received eight nominations. The Puerto Rican singer and actor is competing for record of the year with "Monaco," and the Colombian hitmaker is nominated for album of the year for Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota Season).
