Nicki Minaj Honors 9/11 Heroes While MAGA Targets AOC And Zohran Mamdani

Nicki Minaj spent Friday in New York City paying tribute to the victims and heroes of September 11 while taking part in Cantor Fitzgerald’s annual Charity Day fundraiser. She posted a message on X saying she was honoring the loved ones and heroes of the day, using the hashtag Never Forget.

Cantor Fitzgerald holds Charity Day each year to remember the 658 employees the firm lost in the North Tower during the attacks. Celebrities and athletes join brokers for the event, and the company donates all global revenue from the day to charity.

Minaj was joined by several well‑known guests, including Victoria Justice, Henrik Lundqvist, Kyle Palmieri, and former New York Giants receiver Amani Toomer.

Her appearance came as political tension surfaced at the official Ground Zero ceremony. A short video clip showed Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio‑Cortez smiling briefly while victims’ names were being read. Conservative commentators criticized the moment, but the clip had no audio, and other attendees noted that light exchanges happened throughout the four‑hour ceremony — including when one victim’s grandson joked about New York sports teams.

Mamdani had already faced scrutiny from some families who objected to his participation, but he said he would continue to honor survivors, first responders, and families affected by the attacks.

Nicki Minaj has recently aligned herself more openly with Donald Trump’s political movement, calling herself his “No. 1 fan.”

According to Reuters, the official ceremony included the reading of all 2,977 victims of the September 11 attacks, along with six victims from the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.
